A case paper focusing on an overview on Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report Compliance mandate for companies in India. In May 2021, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) introduced requirement for sustainability reporting by listed entities with the intent towards having quantitative, qualitative, and standardized disclosures on ESG parameters. Currently, top 1000 listed companies by market capitalization are mandated to submit the BRSR Report in India.

The intent of this paper is to give a broad overview and information update on this new reporting landscape in India that the top companies are now mandated to follow.
