Importance of Public Private Partnerships in CSR

As per the survey from India CSR Outlook Report 2023 by CSRBOX, 55% of companies as part of this survey (301 companies were surveyed) mentioned that they prefer Government Partnerships as an important pillar to do CSR Projects.

Lakshyaa works closely with grass-root NGOs like REACHA that collaborate with Government systems for their CSR initiatives. The entire goal is to push government to deliver high impact at scale, with higher returns on tax-payer spends of government by engaging strategically with CSR as catalyst. This aligns at the core with Section 135, Companies Act, 2013 for CSR.

Government is also showing active interest in partnering with CSR by leveraging the strength of corporates: technology, innovation, 21st century skills etc. If implemented strategically the strength of Public Private Partnership (PPP) is immense.

An example of PPP through REACHA's effort in the Northeast is shown below. Development of Northeast is also one of the key agendas of Prime Minister's Office.

REACHA and Lakshyaa are actively working with their CSR partners and Government to develop remote and sensitive areas like Northeast and Kashmir in India. The Ministry Of Corporate Affairs has also exhorted corporates for the same through its Newsletter dated 30 May 2023 - https://www.mca.gov.in/bin/dms/getdocument?mds=U%252BdFbuCbB5XrAg1p1P9g1A%253D%253D&type=open
